KOLKATA: Once oxygen wheels, it’s time to get germ on wheels.
Kolkata Municipal Corporation is set to present a cellular Covid vaccination centre (CVC) to reach out to taxpayers, particularly traders and workers who’ve been not able to take time out to have the jab in KMC practices.
The KMC has tied up with all the state transportation department for converting air buses into cellular CVCs.
Even the KMC board of administrators (BoA) chairman Firhad Hakim, who’s also the state transportation minister, on Tuesday reported the KMC will ship such a bus into the Posta region in Burrabazar.
Afterwards, the fleet of trucks will probably push to additional market places for vaccination of dealers and their workers.
A KMC health department official said the civic body vaccinators and other paramedical staffers are going to have the ability to organize for Covid vaccines for 10 recipients at one time.
Growing vaccination demands by a part of dealers had motivated KMC to join with the transportation department for buses to get out to dealers in important markets.
“Our personnel are going to be current to your spot registration.
Our vaccinators will take more than” Hakim said.
The agency will also be expanded to other big markets like Ultadanga, Maniktala, College Street, New Market, Gariahat Market, Kidderpore marketplace, Behala marketplace and Baghajatin marketplace amongst others.
