Hyderabad: Kaloji Narayana University of Health Sciences (Knruhs) has decided to promote physiotherapy students to next year without doing the final exam.
Thousands of students who pursue the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) title have approached the university looking for promotions without the condition of quoting delays in the academic session of nearly nine months.
Students have searched for promotions one time from Knruhs through Storm Twitter, protest, and representation to Governor of Telangana Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Furthermore, some students also moved to the Telangana High Court who was seeking help.

The decision was taken by the university recently during the executive board meeting following several representations by students.
“Students physiotherapy can be promoted next year but they must be mandatory for the end of the year before the examination the end of the following year (promoted year),” read the notification issued by the University recently.
The Executive Board observed that physiotherapy was an important branch of health science dealing with patients.
“Physiotherapy graduates will train as consultants and treat patients, so it is not right on the university section to expose society to physiotherapists with inadequate knowledge and training, endangering patients,” observing the council.
