Koc records a single covid death; Active case dipping to 923

Kolkata: The city recorded a single Covid death on Sunday, a day after Kolkata recorded zero death after a gap 112 days.
However, the number of fresh cases, spinning 92 on Sunday from 62 a day ago.
There has been a sharp decline in active cases in the city too, from 1,612 on July 1 to 923 on Sundays.
New casts have dropped under mark on July 4, after 53 days, and since it remained in three digits.
Experts believe it is a decrease in the number of deaths, more than slides in new cases, which show improved scenarios.
They show that this shows that the vaccine has begun to have an impact.
While more than a month ago, on June 15, Kolkata had recorded 21 deaths, it was only two on July 16 before finally sliding to zero on Saturday.
“We have seen a decrease in the number of stable deaths and cases.
The death figure has fallen into the number one digit more than two weeks ago, which is the first good sign.
Vaccines are responsible for this, regardless of Covid restrictions,” said the Institute of Post- Postgraduate Medical Education & Professor Research Diptendra Sarkar.
But experts say the slowdown in vaccination – as it hit Kolkata last month and again last week with several hospitals and the center of the KMC has not received their equipment – can be dangerous with a third wave of large towering.
“It has been in a hurry and the supply of a steady vaccine is confirmed so that we can deactivate the maximum amount that might occur before the next wave,” said Belle Vue Clinic Internal Medicine Consultant Rahul Jain.
This month began with only four deaths recorded on July 1.
The active case recorded in Kolkata on that day was 1,612.
While both active cases and death rose slightly in July10, each touched1.118 and three, they fell significantly six days later on July 16, when Kolkata had 953 active cases and two deaths.
“This trend is encouraging and shows that the second wave will end.
But that also means we can approach the third wave.
We need to increase vaccination and get as much as possible inoculated during the next month and ahalf so that at that time it attacked, many more Will have immunity against the virus, “Arinda’s internal drug consultant said.
New casts have fallen moved in Bengal.
While the country has recorded a one-day surge in new cases on April 27 – 16,403 – it fell to 1,501 on July 1, up to 997 on July 10 and 899 on July 17.
“This is a good moment and the amount is convincing..
But some countries still have a large number of cases and deaths that occur there.
It can spread to our country in one or two months, turn on the third wave.
Attention is the need for hours,” Jain said.
