Chennai: As a slugfest of politics over the case of contracted-cum-cum-theft Kodanad continues, two new cases – one preference, and others opposed, further investigation of crime – has been submitted in Madras High Court.
While one case asked for permission to interrogate the former Main Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Previously CM J Jayalalithaa’s Confidante VK Sasikala, brother-in-law J.ilavarasi and others in connection with the murder, the other submitted by an ongoing witness was tried in the Ooty Court.
Petition, submitted by Deepu and Santhosh Samy of Thrissur and MS Sathean from Vattanthara to interrogate nine people, including Palaniswami and Sasikala, however, were rejected by the Nilgiris Judge session on April 30.
Affecting rejection, they have now moved the High Court who said the police had submitted a chargesheet in a hurry, and it was difficult to believe that only a few watches and glass dolls had been stolen in the incidence of decomposing a decay.
