Kol: ‘Only 3 out of 40 Covid victims who died after taking 2 shots’

Kolkata: A hospital-based study of the comparative effectiveness of two vaccines – Covishield and Covaxin – did not find a significant difference in terms of Covid-19 death and in hospitals.
In other words, this study has found both vaccines equally effective in reducing mortality and disease development.
Hospital Leeran has conducted research on 294 patients with medium to severe infections.
The study found that of 294 patients, 201, which was 68.4%, was not vaccinated while 15 had received Covaxin and 78 had obtained Jab Covishield.
Of the 93 patients who contracted post-vaccinated infections, 73 had taken the first dose while only 20 had taken both the doses of one vaccine.
The mortality rate in the hospital between 294 patients was 13.4% when 40 patients died during treatment.
Among death, 26 was truly not vaccinated while 11 of them only got a single dose.
Only three received both doses – two of them covishield and one of them was covaxin.
“Even among the three fully vaccinated deaths, they have contracted illness within 14 days of the second jab.
And patients who die post vaccination have severe co-morbid conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and malignancy.
We did not find a significant difference In the effectiveness of the two vaccines, “said the clinical research of Peerless Hospital and Academic Director of Subhrojyoti Bhowmick, peer of the research writer.
The doctor said that the human body took about two weeks from the second dose to develop optimal immunity.
Published by a team consisting of Abhraneel doctor Parames Guha, Aritor Chakrabarti, Subhrojyoti Bhowmick, Saibal Das, Rahul Khandelwal, Aditya Singh, Ajoy Krishna Sarkar, Anupam Das, Krishnangshu Ray and Sujit Karpurkayastha, this research was conducted between April and June.
This is probably the first time such data on Covid-19 infection in post-vaccinations has been published in East India.
The state government has also taken such projects to study post-vaccination infection trends.
“The available data shows that the covaxin that grows in the house has a good efficacy.
Now because most hospitals take a history of vaccination in Covid-19 patients during the second wave, they also have to come out with their findings,” Imunologists said, a scientist At the Indian Chemical Biology Institute, Kolkata.
“CMRI collects data to analyze precisely how many people are infected with vaccination posts, care and mortality results,” said Pulmonology Director of CMRI CMRI King Dhar.
“Even though the number is lacking, we still find some patients with severe Covid infections even after two doses,” Sauren Panja said, medicine and critical care heads in RTIICS.
