Pune: Some roads in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur, including several state highways, have been closed for traffic because some stretches have been underwater due to continuous rain in the district for the past two days, officials said on Thursday.

“There are three district roads that have seen closure when rainwater has sunk from stretches.

When Bund in Khochi Dudhgaon was submerged, the traffic to Sangli Regency from the route was diverted.
“Vehicle traffic is diverted through an alternative route,” he added.
