Kolkata: Two men on a bicycle that quickly took the golden chain of a woman in a new city when she returned home with her husband after Sunday morning.
The most surprising local population was the incident happening in a wide light right in front of a couple’s house near a new city school in the upper class environment with several surveillance cameras.
The couple, residents of the DC block in New Town, have continued their morning journey on Saturday after a gap for more than three months as a preventive measure for Covid.
At least one neighbor the couple saw motorbike riders hiding in the surrounding environment before the incident happened as “if they were waiting for someone”.
“My parents were traumatized after the incident that morning.
They returned their early morning streets only on Saturdays because of the pandemic and on Sunday they were victims of a terrible snatching,” said their daughter.
“They returned home after finishing their journey and almost came home when the incident happened.
Even though my mother hasn’t received a serious injury, this could be bad because she had a big surgery in her spine six months ago,” her daughter said.
The locals said there had been an increase in the number of incidents in the area.
“A few days ago, a girl’s cellphone was seized by this way.
A few weeks ago, a woman was injured when she tried to fight the effort to grab.
Such incidents have increased in recent years,” said a new city residents.
The techno city police station officer visited the place after the incident.
“We went to the place after being told about the incident with local sources.
However, we have not received an official complaint about the incident.
We also checked CCTV recordings and talked to residents to find criminals and possibly in and out of the area,” said A senior officer of the Techno City Police Station.
