Kolkata: a car driver who left home on Saturday night to attend a party found killed near the hospital in Anandapur from Sunday morning.
The police have arrested a victim friend.
According to the local residents, Jana’s business (36) was killed by Mangal Mondal (31) after the first made some obscene comments about the last wife while drinking at Jana’s Auto.
Mondal, a regular drinking partner of Jana.
He was arrested from the Nonakanga Bridge at 3.45.
Anandapur police were told at around 7 in the morning about the body with a sign of a severe injury on his head, his arms and legs.
When he reached the place, the police found Jana, a resident of Vivekandada colonies in nonadanga, lay fainting.
His auto which showered the Ruby-Garahat route was parked nearby.
“He was taken to the CNMC hospital where he was declared dead,” said CP together (crime) Murlidhar Sharma.
The murder case was submitted based on complaints from the victim’s father.
Blood stained articles, jackets and cellular victims were confiscated from the place.
The police said Mondal admitted his mistake and stated that on Saturday night he and Jana were drinking, when the last one made obscene comments about his wife.
He then attacked Jana with a cement slab and iron rod.
