Kolkata: All city bars will now be under the supervision of CCTV.
Country excise has issued orders making CCTV Cameras installments for all restaurants that have a bar license.
Some bar-cum-restaurant in the city already has a CCTV installation, but many of them don’t have this surveillance system.
Bar-cum-restaurant will get two weeks to implement the system.
“Given the recent incidents in more than one excise district, where restrictions on hours of liquor services were found to have been violated, all foreign liquor in companies in the excise district with needed to ensure the following for you.

In accordance with direction, each ‘on the licensed licensed category must install CCTV Camera in the bar, additional bars in such a way that the operation at the counter can be clearly captured.
The installed device must capture audio-visual data and not just visual data.

According to excise sources, the licensed company itself will be responsible for the installation and they can do it by any expert agent.
The camera position will include movement around the bar counters, entry points and exit the additional bars and bars.
The source indicates that the video surveillance system must provide video feed on Full HD resolution at a minimum of 25 frames per second (FPS).

“We already have CCTV and install some at the counter bar,” he added.

Pradip Rozario, owner of Fusion and Mio Amore KK, also said they had installed the system.
Charles Mantosh, the owner of Floriana, Waldorf and Moulin Rouge, also said that he would obey the law but added that someone might have made a mistake by adding the audio data section in order.
