Kolkata: City Boy Souryadeep Basak gets a rare difference as the youngest speaker this year at COP26 in Glasgow.
On Thursday, he spoke at PBB26 PB26 on social empowerment through solar technology.
Basak, which currently performs a PhD in sustainable and energy-efficient container agriculture at the Teri School of Advanced Studies, discusses the audience of global leaders and changes in makers.
The United Kingdom is currently hosting the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November.
The COP26 summit has brought together the party to accelerate the actions of the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Changing.
For the first time in a history of police, sustainable energy for all (Seforall), in partnership with the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), accommodating a special SDG7 pavilion in the blue zone in COP26.
The pavilion brings together stakeholders of sdg7 to mobilize and connect the commitment and brave actions for energy throughout the world.
“I am honored to share a global stage with a famous personality such as Jon Lane, Head of Carbon Trust Energy Access, Anne Sonogole from the Access Coalition, David Lecoque, CEO of Alliance for rural electrification,” said Basak.
Previously, Basak had hit the headlines by developing solar-powered feed units which could produce 50kg fodder per day.
The hydroponic fodder unit they can swallow farmers around Rs 15,000, including solar panels, control systems, and other inputs.
This unit uses solar power without increasing costs to convert DC energy to AC (back and forth).
