Kolkata: A class X student – identified as akash watershed – allegedly died of suicide after his mother asked him to have a little patience before buying it.
The incident was reported about 1.50 afternoon on Saturday from the second floor of the four-story apartment at Kamdahari Bose Para.
The mother, who has divorced because almost a decade, is the only member of the income in the family.
He has asked his son to understand their financial condition, said an officer.
Das, though, has quoted his academic pressure to try and bid for a cellphone.
The police said they would ensure whether he was actually looking for a telephone for his own personal satisfaction.
“This is just the main assumption.
We will talk to his friends and other family members to ensure the right reason,” said an officer.
