Kolkata: Traffic police have written to KMC, PWD and KMDA for infrastructure development ahead of the celebration season.
It has registered 188 roads and areas that require better illumination and complete 318 stretches for improvement.
The police have written to KMC, asking them to clean up the garbage from 128 points so that the right barricades can be arranged and the parking lot allocates to the smooth flow of traffic and crowd control during puja durga.
Among the stretches in which the headkeepers of the head office wanted lighting was 14 points in Strand Road, where the East Government and Cr Avenue, where one of the lights did not function or post a new.

Also in the list is a stretch between Park Street and the free school road crossing to Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road and Lakan Bose Road.
Jodhpur Park, a portion of Garahatan Road and Deodar Rahaman Road is also on the list.
More than 60% of the list includes added areas and port divisions.
Among the roads identified for repairs are BT Road, APC Roy Road, Kali Charan Ghosh Road, Northern Avenue, Canal West, Rabindra Sarani, Girish Avenue, Rash Behari Avenue, Mandeville Garden, DH Road, Hyde Road, decorated with holes and sidewalks dig.
Police want garbage removed from Biren Roy Road (W), Roy Bahadur Road, DH Road, APC Roy Road, BB Ganguly Street, Jadunath Mullick Road, Beadon Street and Sovabazar Street.
