Kolkata: After the Police Commissioner, partner Soumen, the order of traffic restrictions approved for Vivekananda Road – starting August 27 to stretch among Ganesh Tales and Park Girish – Police decided not to allow the bus from CR Avenue to enter Beadon Street.
Three bus routes that ply on Jalan Vivekananda will also be transferred via CR Avenue from the Esplanade or Poddar Court.
The other six who are currently entering Beadon Street from Cr Avenue, will take the BK PAL Avenue route.
“We found at least five bus routes to be transferred to this demolition,” said a traffic guard officer Jorabagan.
It will cover 43 and four minibus routes including Shyambazar-Metiabruz, Bag Shyambazar-BBD, Belghoria-NIMTA, Alampur-Ultanga, Nagerbazar-Howrah, 13 and 13a.
“We need to make sure that the vehicles that move bigger and slower do not block Rabindra Sarani-Beadon Street Street Street before they reach CR Avenue.
What’s important, we want Beadon Street-Cr Avenue to cross to be less dense,” explained an officer.
Meanwhile, with bus pressure set to increase in Cr Avenue, the police hoped to clear the extra pressure felt in posta with some of the roads closed.
“We want the Strand Road part to fully operate to ensure Cr Avenue and MG Road function well.
For this reason, smaller equipment used for demolition must be removed,” said an officer.
The source of Traffic Guard Howrah bridge shows that poor road conditions might hamper work.
Kmd has sent a letter to KMC to make repairs.
Until the last report comes, the KMC has completed the inspection and will start repairing.
