Kolkata: Covid, Non-Covid Balance in Roster Puja Hospitals

Kolkata: Some private hospitals in Kolkata will return to their pre-pandemic list for doctors and nurses in non-covid wards during the festive days next week.
At Ward Covid, however, the presence of existing personnel power will continue even when some have decided to extend their Covid unit and get ready to mobilize more health workers at short notice if there is a burst.
While Peerless Hospital will continue to continue six consultants, at least eight nurses and 10 junior doctors at the Ward Covid who now only have 21 claiming to return to the 2019 list for the rest of the environment.
“We have a little operation or acceptance planned during pujas, which allows us to have a smaller workforce.
Because there has been no bursts in Covid’s number so far, we hope the trend continues during pues.
But we will not reduce the workforce in the ward,” said CEO of Peerless Hospital Sudipta Mitra.
The last terba, peerless had to cancel the doctor’s leaves because they had more 100 covid patients.
The RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS), it will also be returned to a pre-pandemic list for doctors and nurses.
But will continue to have more than the number of doctors and nurse who are nurse in the Covid ward because cases increase slightly, according to RTIICS ZONAL Director R Venkatesh.
“We have 47 covid beds with 32 residential, with 16 critical care patients.
If we see a stable increase in case, we will add more beds because we have ready infrastructure.
However, for non-covid wards, we will Return to the pre-pandemic list, “Venkatesh said.
Medica Superspecialty Hospital has revived a pre-pandemic list for non-covid wards.
“We only have 26 covid patients now.
Reception will drop sharply during the puja days, so we will let the puja go to our doctor and nurse.
We will call them back if there is an unexpected burst both in covid or non-covid reception , “said Chairson Medica Alok Roy.
AMRI Hospital will not change its schedule for doctors in the non-covid ward.
“We will remain on the routine last year and have a strong presence of health workers throughout the environment.
While the number of non-covid patients can go down, we will accommodate more Covid patients if there is a burst,” said CEO Amri Rupak Barua.
Ruby Hospital also decided to oppose reviving the 2019 list.
Like Amri, it will add more covid beds and will stick to the usual list for health workers during the festival.
“We will have 25 covid beds on two wards, including some critical.
There have been marginal bursts in reception Covid for the past few days.
So, we are not easy,” said Ruby General Manager (Operations) Subhashish Datta.
