Kolkata: Narayan Debnath, cartoonists, illustrators and writers, have occupied a valuable part of the Bengalis childhood since the ’60s.
The 91-year-old child who received the Padma Shri award this year still made a sketch of the cartoon and their prize to anyone visiting him at home.
Now, a cartoon fan, Agniva Chakraborty, has brought a calendar with Debnath – Handa-Bhonda creations, Batul The Great, Nonte-Phonte and Goga Koushik, along with many covers and illustrations that he had done in his long career as ACLOWS.

“Debnath is not only a living legend, but the Bengalal generation grows reading the comic strip.
The calendar is an attempt to pay for tribute with his own creation,” Chakraborty said, who controls the calendar after taking some of the forgotten Debnath works.
