Kolkata: A first year engineering student allegedly raped by his classmate in a new accommodation who paid this last Friday, when he went to visit him.
Survivor’s parents filed a complaint on Sunday, after being accused of 20 years of arrest.
According to the complaint submitted by the girl’s father at the Eco Park police station, he had left Kasba’s house on Friday morning and reached the new city housing complex around noon.
“According to the complaint, the girl was raped by a classmate in the flat.
He fell common sense after the attack but somehow, he managed to return home.
But his condition deteriorated and he was hospitalized.
Because he was questioned, he told his parents about torment .
The next day, his condition deteriorated further and he shifted to another hospital for better care.
He was in care but his condition was stable, “said an officer at Bidhannagar Komisarier.
Police said the defendant, a Simlimal resident in Bankura, met the girl during their confession to a technical college in New Town and in their online class.
It is not clear whether they also met directly or not, but they used to chat online, police said.
Medical examinations have proven sexual attacks.
Based on father complaints, the defendant was taken from his PGA on Sunday and ordered for rape.
He was produced in a barasat court on Monday and returned in police custody.
“We will record the woman’s statement to find out if she is sedated or not.
We will question youth too,” said an officer.
