Kolkata: The city woke up to a thick cloud cover and moderate shower on Sundays.
Kolkata receives 22.5mm rain during the day.
It is heavier in the southern part of the city and loses the intensity on the Larilan.
Rain was triggered by cyclone circulation on a bengal gangetic, the office said.
There will be light to moderate in the city and its surroundings, but heavy rains have been ruled out in the next 48 hours.
“Circulation and monsun trough, which now passes Bengal gangetic, causes rain on Sunday.
This will continue to cause light to the moderate bathroom in Kolkata and its surroundings.
But there is no other rain trigger system,” said the Regional Meteorology Center (RMC) GK Das.
Last week, the city received a moderate shower under the impact of the cyclone circulation above the northern bay bengal.
It triggered heavy rain in several parts of the city.
