KOLKATA: Divya Chadha Manek, born and schooled in Kolkata, was honoured with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for its critical role she played at coordinating the clinical trials of numerous Covid-19 vaccines, such as Oxford AstraZeneca, Novovax and Janssen, at the UK which resulted in its speedy rollout.

Once they announced my name to the OBE listing, my dad’s words rang in my mind.
