The police also instructed their people to take part in Covid Soup.
Some officers have decided to send their families – especially senior citizens – elsewhere because they started the durga puja duties from Chaturthi, or stayed back to the police station and barracks to the end of the Puja.
The police traditionally encourage their relatives to spend time away from home to enjoy the pujas as soon as they are tied up at work.
It’s all about maintaining security.
