Kolkata: a large fire broke out in the warehouse plyboard on Jalan Nimtala Ghat Kolkata Utara on Friday morning, officials said.
Six tenders of fire engines worked to extinguish the fire, first seen around 7:45 a.m.
on the first floor failed to fail in a solid area filled with old structures, they said.
There are no reports of victims, they added.
“The cause of the fire has not been confirmed.
It will be known as fire under control,” said TMC MLA local and State Minister Shashi Panja.
There are more than 300 plyboard Godowns and warehouses that store wood in the area, officials said.
More fire tenders are standby to prevent further fire spread, they said.
