The city transportation lifeline enrolled 2.57,453 passengers on Friday, less than two months after it began again on July 16.
Carrier now runs 240 trains from Monday to Friday.
From Monday, the last train will leave the terminal at 9:30 a.m., instead of 9pm and the train will add six services to accommodate the increase in passenger loads.
Metro is currently the most decent transportation option, with a little bus pying.
It’s also the cheapest by skyrocketing fuel prices that affect normal tariffs and taxi applications.
Instead, someone can travel 32 km from the north of the north, from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhas, only with Rs 25.
When the operator continued the service after last year’s lock on September 14, the number of passengers was only around 20,000.
But the Chock-A-Block train from the first day, encouraged the authorities to add trains – from 192 to 220 services today – and extend operating hours.
The passenger count jumped from 1.2 lakh to 1.7 lakh in the first seven days.
During last week, the count had floated around 2.4 lakh until it touched 2.5 lakh on the last weekday.
