Kolkata: From Saturday, the general public was allowed to ride the metro on weekends.
Carrier also added six more trains along the North-South corridor from Saturday, with service 220 daily instead of 214 “special staff”.

On Saturday, the first train left the Dakshineswar terminal, Dum Dum and Kavi Subhas (Garia Barar) at 7 in the morning instead of 7:30 a.m.
The last train left Dum Dum and New Garar at 9:30 and 9:18 a.m.

Saturday services are available at 7 minute intervals during rush hour in the morning and evening.
