Kolkata Metro to resume workdays from July 16

Kolkata: After 61 days, Metro Railway on Friday will continue service on weekdays from 8am to 21:00.
While the North-South corridor will run 192 services, Metro or Line 2 East-West will run 48 trains in both directions.
Commuter can take the train using a smart card.
There is no token that will be issued.
The service will begin with the Dakshineswar terminal and Kavi Subhas at 8 am and end at 8pm.
Although there will be no train on Sundays, only special services (192) for important staff from various sectors that will run on Saturdays.
The train will begin at 8 am and the last train will leave the terminal station at 8pm.
Carrier places brakes on public services from May 16, because the state government announces covid security restrictions.
According to unlocking guidelines, Metro can operate from Monday to Friday only, with 50% of passengers.
Metro north-south, which is a city transportation route, registered less than 50% of full leg capacity since it continued service in September, last year.
