Kolkata: Instructions from the Kuningan Police have caused a suspension of the Breathalyzer test, almost 48 hours after Lalbazar confirmed it would continue despite a covid surge in the city.
The police headquarters refused to clarify whether this order for a short time or whether this problem will only be reviewed after a significant reduction.
The Breathalyzer test, was introduced again after a 16-month Covid break on November 8 last year, has helped the police in the winter to put down the rope drivers.
“A command is forwarded to us on Thursday night.
Until Friday night, the order has not been reviewed.
With all the current traffic police in isolation, decisions are taken and communicated through video calls,” said an officer.
