Kolkata: Durga Puja is still seven more weeks but Kolkata traffic police and several local police stations have begun to collect initial information from large budget organizers about their plans.
Some organizers have notified the police change they propose to make their pandal this year, remembering the possibility of the third wave of Covid.
MD Ali Park in Central Kolkata and Mudaiali in the south is a venue that shifts to allow better suckers than idols.
“We want to understand the organizers so we can make traffic arrangements.
However, the final permit will only be given after the government declares the SOP,” said an officer.
“We have told Tollygunge police and local traffic guards that we shift our venue so we can keep the Pandal Seaka as possible.
