Kolkata: polluting the styrofoam plate IRKS Lake Regounds

Kolkata: The morning pedestrian in Rabindra Sarobar has expressed a surprise on the advanced plate made of expanded polystyrene (generally referred to as a thermocol) scattered around the entrance to the lake for more than two weeks.
“In the past month, the parking lot is contrary to the Calcutta Rowing Club (CRC) and the sidewalk at the entrance next to it has been filled with dishes every afternoon.
An individual distributes food to the poor.
While the goal is noble, the use of styrofoam plates which are then filled with -I has been a threat, “said the Lake Acta Banerjee activist.
According to police Rabindra Sarobar and the officials of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA), a generous has distributed food to the poor.
“The homeless score gathered near the lake entrance and in the parking lot to the CRC in the afternoon before the van arrived to distribute food.
When they left after eating, the place was filled with dishes.
Both food distribution and disposal dishes must be set to prevent dirty regions , “said CRC Secretary Chandan Roychowdhury.
BC Ghosh anti-pollution activist calls for the use of salat plate and manages disposal to prevent garbage.
“Rabindra Sarobar is an eco-sensitive zone.
The use of expanded polystyrene, petroleum-based non-biodegradable material, must be prohibited.
However, thousands of used plates made of toxic substances are stacked near the lake,” he drank it.
Cups and plates made from expanded polystyrene takes 500 years or more to be destroyed.
“The use of non-biodegradable items must be completely prohibited.
These are dangerous items, playing chaos with ecosystems,” said Abhijit Roy, who is normal in Rabindra Sarobar.
The Feisty Banerjee, who is also known as Lake Mamata for his Crusades to protect the lake, has asked KMDA police and Kmpa Lake to immediately act against garbage.
“We don’t suspend feeding poor people.
But it can’t happen at the expense of too much atmosphere around the lake.
I believe philanthropy can be done systematically without affecting the environment,” he said.
