Kolkata: The body of two workers recovered from the reservoir of the development building in Tollygunge on Saturday morning.
The police have identified two victims as Shyam Hallder (35) and Palan Haldar (36).
The incident occurred before 10 am when Foreman Roy had visited the construction site at Russa Road to the south shortly after 10 am getting both lost.
The police were told around 11am.
The police said only Postmortem would ensure whether both of them died of drowning or gas poisoning.
“At this time, we know that one person has entered the tank to clean it in the morning.
When he did not respond, the second person entered.
Their bodies began to float in the tank after some time,” said an officer from the Green Golf Police Station.
The disaster management group was called to remove the body to the hospital.
