Kolkata: The Country Election Commission has provided a nod to December 19 proposed by the Urban Department of Urban to hold elections to Kolkata and HOWrah companies, each held in 2015 and 2013.
This will be the first battle of the first election in Bengal after the assembly poll May 2021, which was won by the Trinamool Congress comprehensively.
The Commission has held a meeting of all election officers in Kolkata, Howrah and Pargana and South Police on November 12 to decide the detailed poll robe.
According to sources, the notification of formal polls is likely to be announced on November 22.
Sources say nominational archiving can be started from November 25 and continues until 2.
December 3 will be the last day for withdrawal of papers and December 4 for supervision.
Possible calculation on December 22.
Unlike the election of the 144 KMC ward, the selection of HMC will only be held at 50 wards.
