Kolkata: Braja Gopal Saha (30), a resident of Aurobindo Nagar, was arrested for allegedly stabbing Amit Dinda and his wife Shyamali.
Saha stabbed Amit in the neck with a knife when the last one walked down Dakshin Behala Road in front of Dr.
Roy’s room in Thakurkukur at around 9pm.
His wife was injured when he tried to stop Saha to stab her husband.
The couple was taken to the SSKM hospital where Amit’s condition was seriously declared.
Shyamali is dismissed from the hospital after treatment.
“The defendant had been arrested and the weapons were confiscated.
We confirmed the motive behind the attack on the couple.
The effort of the murder of the case has been registered against Saha,” Swati Bhangalia, DC (Behala).
The source said the police also looked into the medical record of Saha to ascertain whether he had a mental disorder.
