Kolkata: The leader of the Trinamool Bhatpara congress has a nearby shaving on Wednesday when Gun-Toting Nakreak drives Pillion on a motorcycle opening a shot towards him but missed.
Trinamool City Committee member Asima Roy, 54, is targeted when he is waiting for Autor-Ckshaw about 8 am to get to the party office at RATHTALA BAZAR.
After the criminals missed hitting him, someone gave a funnel, making him fall into the ground.
Local residents took Roy to the Bhatpara State General Hospital where he got four stitches in the head.
“Local BJP leaders hired people lost to killing me so they could regain control of the region,” he thought.
Senior Trinamool and Mayor of Kolkata Firhad Judge said BJP used such tactics in the constituency they won in 2019.
“BJP leaders hire snipers from abroad to kill people.
It won’t work anymore,” said the judge.
MP BJP Barrackpore Arjun Singh said Roy was a victim of “bitter faction” in local TMC.
“Asias Roy, aka Bhulu, is a known squeeze.
Why should BJP target him?” He said.
Barrackpore police have initiated an investigation.
