Kolkata: Two trucks hit the divider and crossed into the opposite track at Vidyasagar Setu at Wee Wee Friday.
Both trucks were badly damaged.
The truck driver said the accident occurred while slowing down.
The increase in the number of accidents on Vidyasagar, the police left was worried because it was used by VIPS to reach Nabanna.
Police in Lalbazar said they planned to install more speed weapons on the bridge to prevent excess speed.
The police also plan to make a special path for trucks to prevent traffic disruptions and ensure the movement of VIP cars if there is an accident.
