In the past couple of times we’ve trimmed at 60-70 trees to protect the enclosures and critters in the event the cyclone turn quite acute,” Samanta added. The zoo officials also have maintained ready a crisis management group with 30 employees, such as veterinary doctors, nurses, pump guys, safety staff and zoo keepers. “We can further divide them in four unique groups with 7-8 associates in each team. They’ll be posted around reptile home, giraffe and tiger enclosures and close to the back of birds. In the event of any crisis, they may swing in action and inform us on additional demands,” Samanta additional. He also added that carnivores including tiger, lion, leopard and jaguar is going to be held in their nighttime shelters. “We also have made a decision to maintain venomous snakes and also the anacondas below lock and key,” he further added.
