In between his on line courses, Arvind Kumar realised his grandma wanted someone to take essentials into her since she had been home jumped in the middle of this pandemic.
He soon realised there have been countless seniors who had help.
So began Cycle Soldiers, a group of young professionals and students that are spending some time between online courses and function for house, to bicycle essentials for individuals.
Arvind had submitted a petition on social websites for both volunteers and over days an army had been formed.
Be it medications, supermarket, vegetables or whatever else, you only need to call some of those eight volunteers and inform them where to purchase out and how much is required.
The remainder is taken care of at no excess charge.
Permissions are procured from all police stations in the south Kolkata.
“The officers-in-charge have thankfully helped.
We began using the Rabindra Sarobar in which OC Jayanta Mukherjee was the very first to provide us consent,” Arvind said.
Other people in the group comprise Yashvardhan Gupta, an undergraduate from University of London, Noumaan Anwer, an Accreditation in St Stephen’s College, Vishalakshi and Rajdeep Mantha, specialists in art style and engineering and also LLB student respectively, T Radhakrishnan out of ITC Infotech and author-poet S S Kumar.
