St.
Thomas’s school, Kidderpore in Diamond Harbor Road not only recognizes the English scholars but also has hostels for those who come from outside.
This 232-year hostel will no longer be there in the original avatar and increasingly turn into a legal lecture.
The school is run by Kolkata’s diocese in the North Indian Church (CNI), who has decided to change the building utility.

However, they will continue to be a school student and will be taken to campus.
They will have access to the canteen and other facilities when physical schools are reopened.
Now they attend online classes, arrangements have been made for them at the Behala Hostel.
“Once upon a time, Hostel Sprawling used to be full of dormitories.
Time has changed now and we are left with very few children, which we are headed.
Most of them come from Anglo India’s background.
The building is largely empty and there is no point in wasting Premium space.
So, the diocese decides to turn it into a legal college, “said Secretary of the Diocese and Principal, (boys and girls), John Ghosh.
Law College will be affiliated with Calcutta University and no audience certificate awaited.
Initial inspection has been done.
“This is a heritage building and one of the most valued institutions under our umbrella because it might be the oldest hostel building in this country.
We restore it and put the hostel room to be reused for college law,” Ghosh added.
However, the hostel is sad that the hostel, where they spend their best years, there will be no more.
“It was my first house for 14 years from 1980-94.
Sad to think that the building will no longer remain a hostel,” said Agarwal, a former student.
Kidderpore campus also has a technology school that shifts to diocesan doses in B T TOAD.
This building will be used for all new ones under graduates of General Degree College to come.
It will also be affiliated with Cu.
Two other degree dignity-run colleges appeared on the St James School campus at the Bose Road AJC and on the campus of Girls Girls HS St John, Loaded by Bose Road.
