Komalika accompanied Deepika to win the successive world title, Haul’s record for India

Wroclaw: Retrieving world champions under 18 Komalika Bari made the perfect transition to the lower age group 21, winning a junior title at the Archery Youth World Championship here on Sunday to become the second Indian after Deepika Kumari to achieve achievements.
Komalika ended with two gold medals including one with Salunkhe Parth on a junior mixed team when India returned with a record haul eight gold, two silver and five bronze from the tournament.
Overall, the recurve archer on Sunday won three gold in Junior (under 21) and two in the Cadet (under-18), where Bishal Changmai also bagged two gold medals.
India also bagged three bronze medals in women’s teams, individuals, and men’s individual events for perfect performances in the Cadet section.
Compound archers concluded their campaign on Saturday with three gold medals, two silver and two bronze.
However, their Gargantuan medal, Haul, the absence of a heavyweight Asian Korean and China who had missed the meeting.
The best performances in India before in the tournament were in the last edition of Madrid 2019 where they pocketed two gold medals and one bronze.

In the mixed partner’s final, the Komalika Duo and Parth beat Spain 5-3 (35-36, 37-37, 38-35, 39-34).
Komalika missed the third medal when a woman’s team lost to Ukraine 5-1 at The Bronze Playoff.
India bagged their third gold in the Junior Recurve section when the Salunkhe trio, Aditya Choudhary and Dhiraj Bommadevara defeated their Spanish rival 5-3 (47-49, 56-52, 56-52).
Previously, the men’s team defeated their French rivals 5-3, while the mixed pair followed a suit with a 6-2 victory over Japan to continue their victory.
The top cadet team of the cadet from Bishal Changmai, Amit Kumar and Vickey Ruhal made it easier for French trio because they only dropped a set of trips to win gold 5-3 (53-50, 56-54, 55-57, 54-54).
Changmai, who stood a third in the qualifying round, then returned to his second gold bag when he paired with Tamnna to win a mixture of 6-2 (36-33, 32-34, 35-34).
Changmai finally gave an example of the third medal when he overcame Zhangbyrbay Dauletkeldi Kazakhstan 6-4 (29-28, 27-29, 29-26, 27-27, 27-27) in five individual bronze setters.
For Tamnna, a mixed gold pair is a second medal as he has in the morning winning bronze on the team.
Tamnna, Avani and Manjiri get better than their German opponents 5-3 (53-50, 49-51, 52-52, 54-51) in a tight third place match.
Manjiri continued to reach the second bronze when he beat Quinty Roeffen from the Netherlands 6-4 (27-23, 26-27, 25-24, 22-28, 25-22).
Before Wroclaw, Indian Archer has won a total of 26 medals (6 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze) in the Junior World / World Archery Championship (old name), while 15 only came from this meeting.
