JAIPUR: After Covid cases began spiking during mid-March, Kotputli authorities initiated a campaign’Mera Gaon Meri Jimmedari’ (my village, my own duty ) where individuals of all walks of life have been requested to care for ensuring strict compliance with Covid proper behaviour. Included in this effort, villagers were split into groups for keeping tabs on individuals having symptoms and advocating them for RT-PCR evaluations, sanitisation of cities and easing Covid patients those who had been under house isolation. Currently, this effort was expanded to Jaipur (rural), Nagaur, Dausa and Alwar districts. Addtional SP, Kotputli Ramkumar Kaswan alerted over the threatening behavior of villagers had chased the effort and also different teams began it. “We comprised teams in cities with sarpanch, former sarpanch, educators, anganwadi employees and other distinguished folks. We requested them to search for individuals having symptoms, assist in sanitisation of those regions infected by Covid and to search for donors that will return to disperse masks and sanitisers. Most of all, we advocated that these teams to make sure no stores be permitted to open throughout lockdown and they need to also notify us on fresh arrivals from the cities. We mended responsibilities of each cities beneath our region through the effort,” explained Kaswan. He added that this helped to confirm the amount of instances in villages. “Once we began, others such as Pragpura, Shahpura and Jaipur (rural) also began the effort. We also published pamphlets and posters glued at public locations in the village about the value of wearing masks and washing hands,” he further added. The effort has been likewise picked up from Nagaur district and police management from May 15. “With this effort, individuals became more cautious to test when they’d families or persons changed with Covid. Lots of donors joined us free of charge distributon of sanitisers and masks. Additionally, with production of Whatsapp bands, individuals began sharing information on several wrongdoings from the cities,” said a senior officer of Nagaur authorities. Jaipur (Rural) SP Shankar Dutt Sharma stated,”This effort has churned out great results up to now and that is why this had been extended in all of Jaipur metropolitan district. It was hard for all of us to teach villagers about Covid and its effect on individual lives. Today things have changed permanently.”
