Coimbatore: The forest department on Tuesday closed Kovai Kutrada fell to the public because of the heavy inflows after continuous rain in Western Ghats.
Waterfalls will now be opened for tourists after the flow of water down.
A forest officer confirmed that District Forest officers T K Ashok Kumar had ordered to close the waterfall for tourists because of the heavy water flow in the last two days.
M Senthilkumar, assistant forest conservator, said, “We then stopped booking online to visit The Falls and would return the number to tourists, who had made an online order.” Ashok Kumar said the center of the ecotourism in Baralalikadu in the range of Karamadai forests was open to tourists on Saturday and Sunday starting at 10am to 4pm.

Rides Coracle in Bhavani and bathing in the river at night is part of the part of the night Ecotourism activities.
Tribal people will serve them lunch.
Visitors can use their own vehicles or public transportation to reach Baralalikadu.

“We allow 12 people (four people at each guesthouse) to stay in a guest house.
