KP Sharma Oli-led CPN-UML expels 11 lawmakers

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s ruling Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist on Monday expelled 11of its own lawmakers for supporting the opposition alliance at its own bid to overthrow the authorities directed by embattled PM K Sharma Oli. The expelled lawmakers comprised former PM Madhav Kumar Nepal and also Jhalanath Khanal. The movement from Oli is viewed as the proper start of a split from the ruling party. A new party named CPN (Unified) has been registered with the Election Commission with a student leader near to Madhav Nepal.
