Thiruvananthapuram: Senior Party leader and former KPCC President V M Sudheer have resigned from the KPCC Political Affairs Committee (PAC).
He has sent his resignation to the President of the KPCC K Sudhakan.
However, Sudheeran has not met the reason behind his resignation.
There are reports that KPCC’s leadership prepares to improve the political affairs committee and target to reduce the number of members in this committee.
But the leader of the sudhakaran and opposition V d Sathean has claimed ignorance about the reason behind the resignation of Sudheer.
Sudheeran was learned to be upset with the ongoing improvement process and he believed that there was no consultation or discussion that was right in the party.
However, Sudhakanan has denied the allegations.
“I personally met Sudheeran twice to hold a discussion.
The leadership has not made senior leaders in the dark on the restructuring of the committee.
All decisions are taken through discussion.
I do not know the reason behind Sudheeran’s resignation,” Sudhakanan said.
Opposition leaders call the resignation “the most unfortunate”.
He said a senior leader like Sudheeran must be in the body to make a policy like PAC and therefore all efforts will be there to hold talks with him.
Other senior leaders in the party have also explained that the party’s leadership will discuss with Sudheeer to calm him down.
“Sure, there will be talks with him to make him reconsider his decision.
If we need to go and meet him,” said Vice President KPCC P T Thomas.
Sudheer’s resignation has come when the party’s leadership is talking to form a new executive committee for the party.
AICC Secretary General Tariq Anwar has also reached the country to start talks with senior leaders.
Sumber-sources close to Sudheeran said that the current leadership has not yet discussed with it on the reconstitution of the Committee in KPCC and DCC.
The current leadership has met with the leaders of Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala’s Oommen Group about this.
These leaders have even submitted a list of their nominations, to be accommodated in the committee.
However, neutral leaders such as Sudheeran and Mullapply Ramachandran viewed that they were absent.
