Moscow: Kremlin on Monday said the election of the weekend parliament in Russia was open, competitive and honest, after the opposition painted the voice.
“The competitiveness, openness, and honesty of the election are the most important thing for the President,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
PESKOV acknowledged that the Communist Party – the many Russians chose to declare dissatisfaction with the authorities – increasing the results in the election, calling the competitiveness of the state selection system.
But he added: “At the same time we see that United Russia is the main preference for voters.” “The party faces the task of reaffirming his leadership; this task is certainly fulfilled,” added Peskov.
With 95 percent of the vote counted with 1000 GMT on Monday, United Russia was in front with 49.6 percent of the vote attended by the Communist Party by 19.2 percent.
The ruling part of the party’s election fell from 54.2 percent in the last parliament election in 2016, while communists saw their support grew from 13.3 percent.
The ally of the criticism of the Kremlin who was imprisoned by Alexei Navalny said the election was faked on a large scale, showing a recurring delay in releasing the results of electronic voting in the opposition Moscow.
Peskov said he could not comment on electronic voting and referred to all questions to the Central Election Commission.
