Krishna’s idol was excavated when putting a pipe

Vadodara: Lord Krishna’s idol, which is believed to come from the 12th century, was found while working to dig a trench to put a pipeline in the city of Dahod on Tuesday.
The idol was truly broken idol was found when a road excavated in the Desaiwad area near Panigati Police post in Dahod.
The idol was shifted to a temple nearby and the authorities were told about it.
Idol has been found in Dahod before while digging jobs elsewhere too.
Such findings are six idols in the Kadiyawad area in October 2020, all believed to come from Jain’s temple.
The source said that Lord Krishna’s idol might be from a temple located at the Chhab pool limit in the city.
A better part of the pool has been closed for years.
According to the local residents, the pool has 108 temples around it.
The pool itself was said to have been made during the reign of Siddhraj Jaisinh.
