KSGA plans to start Engine Bay in Mihan in March 2023

Nagpur: Kalpana Saroj Global Aviation (KSGA), a subsidiary of KAMANANANI TUBES LIMITED, plans to come up with the first engine bay in the country in March 2023 in Mihan Sez.
Led by Padma Shri Awardee Kalpana Saroj, who is known for its fabric for the story of the wealth of life in the slums of Mumbai being a company boss, the company has been allocated one hectare of land.
The project solving ceremony is held on Sunday.
Energy Minister Nitin Raut, who is also Minister of Guardian Nagpur District, is the main guest.
The company consultant while making a presentation say Lufthansa in Frankfurt in Germany has such facilities.
The Administrative Officer of the Head of the Company Ashish Deshpande said that the improvement of aircraft and repair care (MRO) will be carried out in Mihan.
KGSGA will be the only facility that deals exclusively in engine repairs and maintenance carried out separately.
The company claims to generate net foreign exchange income (NFE) in the first year itself appears as a cost-effective alternative for overseas facilities.
“Because even airplane engines in the country are rented to the manufacturer of original foreign equipment (OEM), even serving the carrier at home will produce foreign exchange,” said Deshpande this facility will have 10 hangging and KGSA aims to start 60 machines for repair work and maintenance for the first two years.
After that the number is expected to multiply.
The company will take work for all aircraft engine brands, including Roll-Royce and Pratt-Whitney, regardless of other companies, the consultant said during the presentation.
Apart from airplanes even the helicopter machine will be maintained here.
KGSGA expects large customers from low airlines that find repairs or maintenance carried out on the OEM plant expensive.
Even OEM prefers to have facilities that take jobs for their machines in India.
KGSA looks forward to joint venture and B2B tie-up for the project.
Future plans include staring at air charters and flight training school services.
“We will need an investment around Rs 20 Crore for initial settings that include other hangars and civil jobs,” Saroj Kaplana, CMD told TII.
This is an initial estimate with funds from Kaman tubes, parent companies.
Saroj has entered Kaman Tube Management, a sick company in 2006, and revived.
“Estimates for the advanced stage will be made by my expert team,” Saroj said.
“I have sent a proposal to PMO that we might need 30 hectares of land.
Recommended letters are sent to the state government.
However, we plan to take one hectare first which is the initial requirement.
Further land will be obtained because the project is expanded,” he said.
