KSRTC Launches City Shuttle Service

Thiruvananthapuram: As part of ensuring better connectivity for passengers from outside the city, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has launched a city shuttle service.
Shuttle City will be integrated with ongoing city circular services that will ensure better connectivity for passengers from the suburbs.
This service was inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Labor V Sivankutty in Pappanamcode.
The city shuttle service was launched as the second phase for city services which was originally launched in hospitals, offices and city trade centers to the city.
The minister said that in the past seven months, KSRTC got a new lental lease.
He said that the efforts of the Minister of Transportation and Chairperson and Managing Director to revive the KSRTC must be supported by employees as well.
He also said that people also like KSRTC and employees must ensure that they do our best to ensure public support.
He said that the government preferred to carry out shuttle services to large schools in the capital.
The Transportation Minister Antony Raju said that the corporation had decided to continue the ticket rate of Rs 10 for one circle until March 31.
If people work together, he will be increasingly extended, he said.
At present, 60% to 80% of people reach the city come from a radius of 10 km from the city.

The Minister added that the corporation will also launch a monthly travel card for shuttle services.

To overcome environmental problems, the new electric and CNG buses that will be purchased by the KSRTC will be submitted for city services, the Minister said.
As per the demand for Panchayats, the government has decided to launch the concept of Vanda ‘and they will be launched in April, he said.
The Chairperson of the KSRTC and the Director of Prabhakar Biju Managing Director and other senior officials from the corporation participated in the function.
The new concept called ‘Ticket Ticket’ was also launched on the function, where the ticket rate has been repaired at RS 30 which has validity.
