Coimbatore: Senior BJP leader and Secretary General of K T Raghavan resigned from the party post on Tuesday after Youtuber Masan Ravichandran released a video, which showed a man in a conversation with a woman, who was not visible.
The President of Tamil Nadu BJP K Annamalai said the panel headed by the Secretary of the Malakodi State was formed to investigate the truth of the video and the accusations leveled based on which actions to be taken.
“I deny the accusation.
It will face it legally,” Raghavan tweeted.
“I know about videos circulating on social media since morning.
The video was released to tarnish me and my party.
I met the President of the State K Annamalai and discussed with him.
I resigned from my party post, “he tweeted.
Raghavan added that the Tamil Nadu and those who were close to him knew him.
“I have served for the past 30 years without hope, ” he said in a tweet.
Annamalai said he had received Raghavan’s resignation.” I am sure he will face this problem legally and prove himself, “Annamalai said in a statement.
The video was released by Madan, who joined BJP a year ago, and is currently working with the Tamil daily.
The authenticity of the video has not been determined by an investigation agent.
On the Youtube page, Madan said he had told Annamalai about the operation and the video.
“This video was released with Annamalai’s knowledge, ‘he said.
In a statement, the Head of the State BJP explained that he was not shown by video content.
“Madan approached me twice and demanded action against Raghavan.
I asked him to complete the video and told him the action could not be taken without seeing the contents, ensuring the authenticity of the video or looking for an explanation of the person concerned, “said Annamalai.” When Madan sent me the text I was looking for immediate action on Raghavan or he would release a video, me Firmly at my view that actions cannot be taken without finding out the violations taken.

At Madan’s claim that he has more videos like that, Annamalai said that such a statement creates doubts if the first has a hidden motive.” This is certainly unacceptable, “he said.
