Bengaluru: A week after taking over as head of the head of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday expanded his cabinet by triggering 29 ministers.
He maintained 23 ministers from the 33-member Yediyurappa cabinet – including Lone female ministers – while carrying six new faces.
The ministers managed office oaths and confidentiality by the Governor of Thaawarchand Gehlot in Raj Bhavan in the afternoon.
The strength of the country’s cabinet sanctions is 34; The current strength is 30.
Bommai said the portfolio will be allocated in one or two days.
The expansion that has been awaited from the former CM cm stamp BS Yediyurappa because many of them were closely close to him, including the 10 legislators who joined BJP after quit the Congress-JD coalition in 2019 and helped the Safron Party form the government.
However, contrary to speculation, the son of Yediyurappa and Vice President BJP by Vijayendra failed to reach the ministry.
“Party leaders, including the President of the JP Nadda and BJP Party are responsible for Karnataka Arun Singh, have spoken with Yediyurappa and Vijayendra.

After the oath taking ceremony, Bommai held a cabinet meeting at night and confirmed that the focus was handling Covid-19 as a big potential third wave in the state.
The cabinet decided to change the country’s Covid task force with several new members.
It was led by Ashwath Narayana.
“The new cabinet will respond to the needs of the people, gain their beliefs and provide good governance,” said Bommai.
Asked about four empty minister beds, he said the cabinet expansion would occur in states and areas that were not realized to get further priority.
He refused brewing in the party unit, said BJP was “National Party with strong leadership”.
In the senior minister of the previous cabinet was dropped, he said the high command has decided to tie them with organizational experience for party work.

In this make-up, 14 of the 31 countries remained unrepresented, while Bengaluru claimed the Lion part of the seven ministers.
In the Yediyurappa cabinet too, there were seven ministers from Bengaluru.
