K’Taka: 32 students in a positive Kolar Covid test

Bengaluru: In the cluster outbreak, 32 students living in two hostels attached to Kolar Collar and Nursing College have been tested positive for Covid-19.
They have been stored in isolation in hospitals in the city.
The hostel has declared the detention zone, and the building has been disanitized, according to the District Health Authority.
All positive students do not show symptoms and have no travel history.
Infected students came from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College and the breastfeeding universities who allied in Kolar.
Six days ago, four students complained of light and cold fever, and were tested positively.
After this, 1,310 students from two hostels were charged RT-PCR tests which produced 28 students became positive.

Srela, medical supervisor, Jalappa Hospital, which was attached to Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, said some samples were sent to the genome sequencing and the results were awaited.
The doctor said students were fine and their oxygen saturation level was well maintained.
District authorities have searched for a contact list of 32 patients so as to ensure they are isolated.
“We will do a RT-PCR test on their contact too,” Dr.
Charini, district surveillance officers, to the Toi.

Jagadish, district health workers, said immediately after several students complained of fever and cold, the steps were taken to isolate them.
Dubai who returned at Rundr Charini said two people who had returned from Dubai – whose housing address was in Bengaluru – came to Malur in a friend who was suspected of escaping from quarantine.
While the authorities collected their samples, they left the city before the sample was confirmed, they were positive.
