Bengaluru: Karnataka State Council Student will have four formative assessments (internal exercise) and one sumative exam for the current academic year (2021-22), the Ministry of Public Instruction said in circular in a new and comprehensive evaluation pattern.
The department has decided to strengthen the internal assessment process so that students can be evaluated sufficiently in sumative exams cannot be held due to a pandemic.
Under new patterns, students will be assessed throughout the year.
For class 1-8, formative assessment will be conducted in September, October and December 2021 and January 2022.
Each of these assessments will be carried out for 15 signs per subject.
The formative assessment will consist of student performance in class, self-learning, activities, and worksheet delivery.
The final exam will be carried out in April 2022.
For class 1-5, written paper on 20 signs and 20 oral exam values will be carried out for summative assessment.
For English, students will take a written exam for a total of 10 signs and oral examinations for 20 signs.
For class 6-8, 30 signs are written and 10 oral examinations will be carried out.
The number 60 signs from formative and 40 of the sumatical exam will be taken for the final score.
Sumative assessment gets a higher weight for grade 9 and 10.
Formative examinations, each for 50 signs, will be conducted in September, October and December 2021 and January 2022.
As part of formative assessment, students will submit two of their respective activities 15 and take a written test of 20 signs.
Brief 200 values will be reduced to 20.
Their final examination is for 80 signs.
A total of 100 signs will come from a total of 20 in formative and 80 in the sumatical exam.
The teacher must continue the sustainable learning process including classes and online lessons through WhatsApp, television and radio and keep in touch with students.
