Bengaluru: almost 19 months after being closed due to the rupture of Covid-19, grade 1 to 5 will be reopened for learning directly in the last week of October or the first week of November.
The classes are currently held online.
The Minister of Premier and Secondary Education BC Nagesh said the Karnataka Government was ready to reopen the lower classes and dates would be corrected based on the recommendation of the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
CM Basilvaraj Bommai is expected to hold a TAC meeting in a few days.
‘The conducive situation for offline class DPI has held a virtual meeting on school preparedness on October 18.
“The preparation needed has been made and we are waiting for a cm nod,” said Nagesh.

MK Sudarshan said: “The land situation is conducive to reopen the class.
We are ready with our recommendations and waiting CM to call the meeting.” The source said the offline class would be held for half a day three weeks with 50% residential.
“The staggering approach is very important to ensure a distance of one meter between students and at least a distance of two meters between the teacher and the first row of students,” said an official.
The source said TAC was looking at the class opened back on October 25, while several educational officials preferred to restart post-diwali.
Dasara holidays ended on October 20, and midday food at school will continue from October 21.
Additional Secretary (Health) TK Anil Kumar said the government would ask for TAC for its recommendations.
