Bengaluru: With the level of positivity of the Covid-19 Test Karnataka (TPR) slid below 5% in all 31 districts, the government plans to lift the night hours and reopen the pub from July 19 when it does not apply.
After lifting the weekend hours and reopened the shopping center as part of Unlock 3.0 which came into force on July 5, the government was awaiting TPR to fall below 5% in all districts to allow the level of fourth relaxation.
“The Covid situation throughout Karnataka has shown the desired effect during open key 3.0.
We will monitor it for several days before making our recommendations to the government,” Dr.
MK Sudarshan, Chair of the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
Officials said the Chairman of the BS Yediyurppa Minister supports more relaxation.
CM is expected to lead a ministerial group meeting on Friday or Saturday to discuss recommendations before announcing Unlock 4.0.
Kodagu and Chikkamaglauru are the only districts that have TPR above 5% until last week, while other districts record far below the threshold.
