K’taka: Converting religion can lose the benefits of the government, quota

BELOGIVAVI: People from the backward community and caste scheduled to be able to lose the benefits of the scheme and order of government welfare in education and work if they enter Christianity or Islam if anti-conversion laws come into force in Karnataka.
The proposed law was reported to imagine the treatment repent as a religious minority.
At present, Hindus has a backup and SCS qualifying for ordering even after converting to other religions and also benefit from the welfare scheme.
This can change if the anti-conversion bill is ratified in assembly and councils during the ongoing winter in Bellagavi.
“There are laws to overcome the conversion of coercive religions, but they do not determine punishment.
Also, the government found the need for a tight clause.
We will see these problems while examining the draft bill,” said JC Madhuswamy’s law.
CM Basilvaraj Bommai on Monday said the Cabinet would approve the bill after the Law Department completed his supervision and it would be submitted in both houses.
“There will be a different view of new law.
But, we must protect the interests of people even though there is a resistance of several parts,” he said.
Officials involved in compiling the bill said most of them were modeled to the law conversion law that violated the law enacted last year.
While the laws that prescribe a strict clause such as 10-year imprisonment to force people to convert religious, prominent features including the refusal of quota benefits for converted Christians.
If someone wants to convert to another religion, he must forget the benefits of the previous religion, “said KS Esharappa, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.
Some BJP functionaries are reported to suggest policies in accordance with the converted caste certificate must be modified and he will be mandated to declare his new religious status .
Officials, however, said the discussion was still at a newborn stage.
“According to a different decision from the Supreme Court, one’s original caste will not change with religious conversion.
While the government cannot deny the benefits, their children may not be eligible because they obtain new religions from birth.
These problems are being discussed, “said an official.
They said the new law mandated people seeking conversions to state that he took his own steps and the declaration must be ratified by the deputy commissioner.” All religious conversions will be registered such as marriage registration.
Their list of those who seek conversion will be published and objections from relatives and other stakeholders will be invited before cleaning the application, “said an official.
